Email from Michelle Lim of Jobs with Justice:

Dear Aaron and SF Tomorrow,

Thank you for being a supporter and endorser for the Retail Workers Bill of Rights (RWBoR).

As we are preparing to escalate our campaign to pass this groundbreaking legislation in the coming weeks, I would like to invite you and others from SF Tomorrow to come to our RWBoR Campaign Briefing. During this meeting, we will be gathering all of our campaign endorsers and supporters together to hear important campaign updates and discuss how groups can get more involved in the movement and connect it to their own ongoing campaigns. The RWBoR Campaign Briefing will be from 12-1:30pm on Friday, September 19th at Local 2, 209 Golden Gate Ave. Lunch will be provided. Please let me know by this Friday, September 12th, if you, another representative, or both will be there, so we can get a headcount for lunch.

Additionally, I would also like to share our most recent article featured on the front page of the SF Chronicle last Friday, “Retail Workers Bill of Rights Gains Traction in S.F.” This article highlights how San Francisco is leading the way for part-time workers’ rights by introducing a bill that will give workers in chain retail, restaurant and other service businesses fairer and more predictable schedules. Please check out the article here and share it far and wide. Other good articles that I recommend can be found in the SF Bay Guardian and In These Times. For more information, you can also visit our campaign website at www.RetailWorkerRights.com.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening and look forward to hearing from you soon.

In Solidarity,
Michelle
